International team-mates Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero are known to be close friends on and off the pitch. The pair teamed up together during the summer to guide Argentina to the World Cup final, but they enjoy a keen rivalry off the pitch when it comes to the video game of FIFA.
And Messi was quick to give his opinion about the tie, and even had a cheeky dig at his mate when doing so.
‘Looking forward to playing in the next round of the UEFA Champions League,’ he wrote on Facebook. ‘It’ll be really nice to face my friend Sergio Aguero as I always beat him at FIFA, but let’s see what happens on the pitch.’
Both players have been in scintillating form for their clubs this season, with Messi scoring two more than Aguero with 21 goals in 21 games in all competitions.
