WoW Forever Nov 5 Hotfixes: Spawns, Bags & Plainsrunning

Day two after launch, Blizzard shipped the first live hotfix list for WoW Forever. The notes are short, but they change how a few early routes feel: quest NPC timers, Zephras Isle bag stock, Mild Spices vendor copper, and Plainsrunning in battlegrounds. If you are tracking WoW Forever Gold this week, these are the copper and inventory details that actually moved.

NPC and spawn fixes that change early routes

Four enemy and NPC lines hit zones many fresh characters still touch.

  • Durotar: Yarrog Baneshadow was respawning slower than intended. The hotfix restores the intended timer, so quest traffic around that NPC should clear faster when the camp is busy.
  • Dustwallow Marsh: Some murlocs were respawning too quickly. Packs that felt endlessly dense now follow the intended cadence, which matters if you were chaining those pulls for cloth or quest credit.
  • Swamp of Sorrows: Pelluk sometimes failed to spawn. After the fix, the NPC should appear on the normal schedule instead of forcing a logout or a long wait.
  • Escorting Erland: Deathstalker Erland now respawns much more quickly for the escort quest, cutting the dead time between attempts when someone else just finished the run.

None of these rewrite the leveling map. They do remove the weird stalls that were burning minutes between quest turn-ins.

Zephras Isle bags and the Mild Spices copper cut

Trade supply vendors on Zephras Isle were missing apprentice tradeskill bags. That stock is restored, so Skyborne characters can buy the early bags from those vendors instead of waiting on a mail alt or an auction house listing.

Mild Spices now sell to vendors for 1 copper each (was 2 copper). The buy price from trade suppliers stays in the usual early-cooking band: stacks of five still list around 10 copper at Zephras vendors such as Belandiel Farflight and Iallion Featherfall. The change only hits what you get when you vendor-trash leftovers.

In a fresh economy, that half-copper drop is tiny on one stack and real when you mass-vendor cooking leftovers after a long session. It also resets what “floor price” means if someone was flipping spices against the old 2 copper sell value. Listings that assumed the old vendor floor no longer match live. That is the kind of micro-shift people mean when they talk about WoW Forever Gold for sale on day-two auction houses: copper floors move first, then bag space and AH volume follow.

Plainsrunning no longer stacks in battlegrounds

Two PvP lines close the same exploit path for the Tauren racial.

  • Plainsrunning could be stacked in a battleground’s preparation phase. That stacking is fixed.
  • Plainsrunning can no longer stack at all in that context, and existing stacks are cancelled when you pick up a battleground flag.

Flag carriers in Warsong Gulch and other flag modes lose the stacked speed edge the moment they grab the flag. Prep-room stacking before the gates open is gone. If your early BG plan leaned on multi-stack Plainsrunning for openers or flag runs, rebuild around the single intended buff and normal mount or foot speed after the flag pickup.

Druid training on Zephras and a quest text cleanup

Lotheluum Starbreeze on Zephras now offers training to Druids as expected. Skyborne Druids who hit a dead trainer dialog can train ranks there instead of bouncing to another hub.

The Sisterhood of Elune quest text was incorrect; the hotfix corrects the wording. Functionality of the quest chain is not rewritten in the notes—only the bad text.

What to re-check on your character tonight

Walk these in order if you logged out before the November 5 list applied:

  1. On Zephras, open a trade supply vendor and confirm apprentice tradeskill bags are in the buy list.
  2. Vendor any Mild Spices leftovers and note the 1 copper sell price so your mental AH floor matches live.
  3. If you are Tauren and queue battlegrounds, test Plainsrunning once in prep and once after a flag pickup—stacks should not build, and flag pickup should clear stacks.
  4. Druid on Zephras: talk to Lotheluum Starbreeze and train any missing ranks.
  5. Horde players still on Escorting Erland: expect a shorter wait when Erland is down.

Raid tuning is still scheduled for after raids open on December 9. Until then, these hotfixes are the live rules for spawns, early bags, spice copper, and Plainsrunning in BGs. Bank the minutes you get back from fixed NPCs, buy the bags you were missing on Zephras, and keep your copper math on the new Mild Spices floor while you push the next levels.
